As a die-hard fan of animated films and a connoisseur of Sam Rockwell’s impeccable voice acting skills, the release of The Bad Guys 2 trailer has me absolutely thrilled! Having grown up watching the original The Bad Guys, I can’t wait to see how the story unfolds in this sequel.

In 2025, you’ll find the continuation of the popular animated series titled “The Bad Guys 2”. This sequel to the 2022 film follows the character Mr. Wolf, once again voiced by Sam Rockwell.

What happens in The Bad Guys 2 trailer?
In the trailer for The Bad Guys 2, Mr. Wolf and his gang of miscreants endeavor to reform after leaving their criminal past behind. Mr. Wolf even tries to land a job at a bank he once robbed, but complications arise as they’re coerced into plotting another robbery instead.
“The summary for the movie states that in the latest installment of DreamWorks Animation’s popular comedic series featuring an ensemble of animal outlaws, our former villains are making a genuine effort to be good citizens. However, they get unwittingly involved in a complex, worldwide heist orchestrated by a new gang of criminals who have managed to stay under their radar: The Bad Girls.
In addition to Rockwell, The Bad Guys 2 welcomes back Marc Maron reprising his role as Mr. Snake, Craig Robinson as Mr. Shark, Anthony Ramos portraying Mr. Prianha, Awkwafina lending her voice to Ms. Tarantula, Zazie Beetz joining as Diane Foxington, Richard Ayoade voicing Professor Marmalade, Alex Borstein taking on the character of Misty Luggins, and Lilly Singh playing Tiffany Fluffit.
In the voice cast for the sequel are Danielle Brooks playing Kitty Kat, the snow leopard who commands the Bad Girls gang, as well as Maria Bakalova voicing Pigtail, a resourceful boar engineer, and Natasha Lyonne portraying Doom, a trickster raven.
In “The Bad Guys 2”, Pierre Perifel takes charge as the main director, and JP Sans joins him in the director’s role. Damon Ross is back for another production round, and Daniel Pemberton handles the film’s music composition.
In the United States, “The Bad Guys 2” is set to hit movie theaters on August 1, 2025, distributed by Universal Pictures.
