This Football Manager first-person mod would be incredible in FM 24

As a seasoned Football Manager veteran with countless hours under my belt, I must say that this fan-made mod is a game-changer! Watching my team from the touchline has always been a dream, and finally, it’s within reach – sort of.

In Football Manager, one aspect that’s lacking is the ability to observe your team from the sidelines. However, for those who still enjoy FM 2019, there might be a workaround. A fascinating, often underestimated fan-created mod lets you stand on the touchline and watch your team play. This provides a first-person Football Manager experience that the official games have yet to offer.

Football Manager in first-person?

This modification allows you to observe your team participating in the thrilling sport, controlling the gameplay with your mouse. You can rotate your virtual view from side to side to catch every moment of the match. So, keep an eye out for all the exciting action!

You can download the mod we found on FM Scout right now if you’re interested in trying it out, but keep in mind that there could be some challenges ahead. For instance, understanding the gameplay mechanics might prove tricky. While this mod is a positive step towards increasing immersion, if similar features were to appear in FM 24 or even the much-delayed FM 25, they would likely require some modifications to make them user-friendly.

Prior to moving forward, it’s essential to mention that the game currently doesn’t specifically ‘intended’ for this perspective, which means you might encounter some bugs and glitches. However, it offers a sneak peek at what potentially could be an extraordinary feature for Football Manager. Despite its rough nature, considering a combined mode where players can zoom into this view with a mini-map highlighting hard-to-see action might be worth exploring?

The specific launch date for Football Manager 25 is yet to be confirmed, with a tentative release planned for March 2025. Initially scheduled for Q4 2024, the game’s debut has been postponed due to unforeseen delays. Developer Sports Interactive acknowledged that the game wasn’t up to their desired standard at the time of the delay. Pre-order customers were provided with full refunds, leaving them in a position where they must wait several months for the new version.
