As a seasoned gamer with a soft spot for animated stories and a deep affection for Pixar, I must say the release of the Dream Productions trailer has sent a wave of excitement coursing through me! The mockumentary-style twist on the Inside Out universe is an intriguing take, and as someone who’s spent countless hours trying to manage my own chaotic virtual worlds, I can totally relate to the crew’s struggles in creating the perfect dreams.
At long last, Pixar has unveiled the authentic Dream Productions trailer for the forthcoming Inside Out spinoff series. This office-centric sitcom with a documentary feel will stream starting from December 11 on Disney+.
The new show takes place in Riley’s mind studio where dreams become reality each evening, running on schedule and within budget. As Riley matures, her memories are sometimes too much for her internal emotions to handle, so they send them to Dream Productions for processing. Famed director Paula Persimmon is dealing with a challenge of her own: She must create the next successful dream while working alongside Xeni, an overconfident daydream director who aspires to make it big in nightly dreams.

Mike Jones is responsible for both writing and directing Dream Productions. Jaclyn Simon assumes the role of producer in this venture. This four-episode mini-series is set between the events depicted in Inside Out (2015) and its sequel, Inside Out 2 (2024). The ensemble cast includes Paula Pell, Richard Ayoade, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Ally Maki, Kensington Tallman, Liza Lapira, Tony Hale, Lewis Black, and Phyllis Smith, who will be lending their voices to the production.
