As a long-time fan of Remedy Entertainment, I’ve been on this thrilling rollercoaster ride since Max Payne and Alan Wake. Each new announcement feels like Christmas morning, and their latest updates have me buzzing with excitement!
At Remedy Entertainment’s Capital Markets Day held in 2024, they unveiled updates for various projects such as Alan Wake 2, the original Control game, and its upcoming sequel. The team confirmed that the follow-up to Control will shift into an action role-playing game (RPG) format, while the Mac release of the previously announced Control game is expected in February.
During its 2024 Capital Markets Day event, Remedy unveiled some updates and shared them in a post on X. The sequel, Control 2, is categorized as an action RPG, which suggests it might have a distinct look and feel compared to the original game that followed a traditional action-adventure style. Mac users who have been eagerly anticipating the game can finally play it when Control: Ultimate Edition launches on February 12th, 2025.
It was also announced that Control will receive a free update early next year, which will unlock previously-released content for all players. Remedy also provided an update on its latest title, Alan Wake 2. The horror sequel has now sold over 1.8 million units since its 2023 release.
