Oh, where do I even begin with the sheer excitement that’s bubbling within me as a die-hard fan of Telugu cinema! The news about Prabhas and his upcoming projects has sent waves of anticipation coursing through my veins.
Currently, Prabhas is working on a period film provisionally named “PrabhasHanu,” which is being directed by the talented Hanu Raghavapudi. Furthermore, there’s excitement brewing as he is rumored to soon unveil his next venture in collaboration with director Prasanth Varma.
As a dedicated follower, I’m thrilled to share that, following a hint from Ram Venkat Srikar of Galatta Telugu, director Prasanth himself has given us a sneak peek into his upcoming project. In a recent tweet, he revealed that he is collaborating with a prominent star in the lead role. Excitingly, they’ve already created and finalized the poster for this film, and the director promises to announce it soon!
For those who haven’t heard yet, there’s been a lot of talk that the director of Hanuman will be teaming up with the Rebel Star for one of his future projects. Moreover, it’s anticipated that this movie will introduce the actor into the director’s film universe, often known as the PVCU (Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe).
In addition, it was recently disclosed that Hombale Films will fund three upcoming film series starring Prabhas. The first of these projects is Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam, which is being directed by Prashanth Neel. This sequel movie is expected to hit theaters in 2026. Interestingly, the creators have also revealed that two additional Prabhas movies will be unveiled in 2027 and 2028.
It’s being talked about that one film could be directed by Prasanth Varma, while another might involve Kalki actor teaming up with Lokesh Kanagaraj. But so far, there hasn’t been any formal announcement from the producers confirming these rumors.
Additionally, Prasanth Varma has made headlines with his announcement of a long-anticipated follow-up to his 2024 hit HanuMan titled Jai Hanuman. This new installment will star Rishab Shetty as the main character and is planned to take place within the PVCU, similar to films such as Maha Kali and Adhira which also inhabit this universe.

Instead of that, you’ll find Prabhas ready to make his grand return to the silver screen with his upcoming horror-comedy film titled The Raja Saab. This movie is scheduled for release on April 10, 2025, and it marks a new chapter in the actor’s career as he takes on a double role for the first time.
Additionally, it’s reported that the actor has started collaborating with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga on a project titled Spirit. The initial muhurat shot for this film is scheduled for December 2024, followed by principal photography in 2025.
