As a die-hard fan of the magical world of Telugu cinema, I must say, the recent developments surrounding Pushpa 2: The Rule have left me utterly intrigued! The rumors about S. Thaman replacing Devi Sri Prasad have been swirling like a whirlwind, and now, our beloved Thaman has finally broken his silence.
Rumors have been circulating online for a while that S. Thaman might be taking over from Devi Sri Prasad for the background score of Pushpa 2: The Rule, following reports suggesting that the latter is no longer associated with this project featuring Allu Arjun. Lately, S. Thaman has spoken up about his role in Sukumar’s directorial and clarified whether he will indeed be part of it.
During a recent gathering for the upcoming movie Daaku Maharaaj starring Nandamuri Balakrishna in Hyderabad, S. Thaman spoke about the whispers surrounding his role in Pushpa 2: The Rule. He made it clear that although he was indeed a part of the music crew, his work was confined to just one section of the film, not the entire production.
S. Thaman shared that he’s contributing to the movie but not handling the entire composition process. Other composers are involved too. Upon seeing the final product, he was thrilled as it was exceptional and left him feeling exhilarated.
Thaman was questioned regarding his involvement in two movies slated for a simultaneous Sankranti premiere: Ram Charan’s “Game Changer” and “Daaku Maharaaj” featuring NBK.
Again, I can’t help but echo the fact that I, myself, am not shouldering the entire musical burden for either of these cinematic masterpieces. I’ve dived into these projects, viewing them as stimulating challenges, yet my contribution remains merely a part of the grand symphony that you’ll hear.
If you’re not familiar with this, it seems that according to reports, apart from S. Thaman and Devi Sri Prasad, musicians Sam C.S. and Ajaneesh Loknath are also working together on the soundtrack for Pushpa 2: The Rule.
Previous articles from Gulte stated that Devi Sri Prasad’s delivery of the film’s background score was delayed beyond initial estimates. This delay led the producers to contemplate S. Thaman as a potential replacement, in case they needed an alternate score.
It seems that, since they’ve advanced the movie’s premiere date, the film creators appear to be avoiding any potential issues with the selection of this significant element. According to reports, everyone who contributed to the music will receive proper recognition, regardless of which compositions ultimately end up in the final version.
In a scheduled release on December 5, 2024, the highly anticipated movie “Pushpa 2: The Rule” will feature Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, along with other talented actors.
