As a lifelong Marvel fan who’s seen more comic books than I care to admit, I must say that the new Kraven the Hunter video has me absolutely thrilled! Growing up with stories of Kraven and his relentless pursuit of Spider-Man, I never thought we’d see this iconic villain gracing the big screen like this.


Sony Pictures recently unveiled a fresh clip featuring Kraven the Hunter, the upcoming Marvel movie’s main character, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson from Avengers: Age of Ultron. This action-packed adventure is set to hit cinemas on December 13.

The official summary goes like this: “Kraven the Hunter” is an intense, thrilling tale that reveals how and why one of Marvel’s most famous foes emerged. In this film, Aaron Taylor-Johnson portrays Kraven, a man driven by his intricate bond with his merciless father, Nikolai Kravinoff, into a path of vengeance leading to severe repercussions. This journey transforms him into the world’s best hunter and one of its most dreaded villains.

In this video, Taylor-Johnson and director J.C. Chandor share insights about their upcoming film, emphasizing that it blends elements of a family drama with underworld themes. As a dedicated admirer, I’m thrilled to share that “Kraven the Hunter” is set to be directed by the talented Oscar nominee J.C. Chandor (A Most Violent Year), with a screenplay co-written by Richard Wenk (The Equalizer films) and collaborators Matt Holloway and Art Marcum. In this exciting adaptation, I’ll be stepping into the role of the notorious Spider-Man adversary, Kraven the Hunter, originally known as Sergei Kravinoff.
