As a seasoned gamer who’s been following the rollercoaster ride that is professional wrestling for decades, I can’t help but feel a sense of intrigue and anticipation about the latest developments in AEW. The saga of Jon Moxley has always been captivating, and his recent actions have added another layer of mystery to an already complex narrative.
Recently, Dustin Rhodes hinted that AEW President Tony Khan could be displeased with Jon Moxley. Towards the end of August, Moxley made his comeback to All Elite Wrestling following a break in action.
As I stepped back into the gaming arena alongside Marina Shafir, fans were taken aback by our team-up – an unexpected twist that added a new layer to the game. But make no mistake, my return wasn’t just for show; it was fueled by raw, unbridled intent. At AEW All Out, I stripped off the mask and showed my true self when I attacked Bryan Danielson from the Blackpool Combat Club. Initially, the rest of the faction stood by him… everyone except Wheeler Yuta, who seemed to be standing on his own ground.
At AEW WrestleDream 2024, Jon Moxley emerged victorious against Bryan Danielson to claim the AEW World Heavyweight Championship. Following the bout, members of the Blackpool Combat Club stormed the ring and brutally attacked Danielson. Interestingly, Wheeler Yuta, who had previously assisted Danielson, also participated in the assault. This violent attack ultimately led to Danielson retiring from full-time wrestling within AEW.
Currently, Moxley is a member of the recently formed group called the Death Riders. This gang includes Claudio Castagnoli, Marina Shafir, PAC, and Wheeler Yuta. As they’ve aggressively taken control, the Death Riders have stirred chaos within the roster. Remarkably, Moxley has made mysterious comments that, as per AEW star Dustin Rhodes, seem to have troubled Tony Khan.
Dustin Rhodes explains why Tony Khan might be upset with Jon Moxley
In August, when Jon Moxley reappeared in AEW, he delivered a mysterious message to Tony Schiavone: “This isn’t your company anymore.” This comment left fans puzzled. Yet, Dustin Rhodes, an AEW star, thinks that Tony Khan might feel somewhat irritated by Moxley’s suggestion about who owns the promotion.
During an interview with Sports Guys Talk Wrestling, Rhodes expressed his views on Moxley’s mysterious statements. He stated, “You need to always keep an eye behind you when it comes to Moxley and his crew, they’re tough. They’re fighters, and that’s their profession.
Yet, Rhodes clarified that Moxley doesn’t own the company (AEW). Implying Tony Khan’s potential response, he suggested that perhaps Khan might feel a bit irked by being referred to as ‘his company.’ As a division seems to emerge within AEW, fans are curious about whether Khan will be part of this developing narrative.
