As a dedicated Warcraft fan who’s been following this epic saga since the early days of my gaming life, I can hardly contain my excitement about the upcoming PC release of Warcraft Rumble! The mobile version has been a blast, but playing on a larger screen is just going to elevate the experience to new heights.
Blizzard has been pleased with the success of its mobile game based on the Warcraft series, Warcraft Rumble. This game has attracted a consistent player base on both iOS and Android devices. However, the publisher doesn’t plan to rest on its laurels. During the Warcraft 30th Anniversary Direct event held on Wednesday, Blizzard announced that Warcraft Rumble will soon be available on PC as well. A playable beta version is expected in just a few weeks.
Approximately one year following the debut of the initial mobile game, Blizzard has announced Warcraft Rumble for PC. Unfortunately, no actual gameplay footage of the PC version was revealed. However, considering the playful thumbnail image Blizzard provided, it’s likely that the mobile gaming interface will be adapted to fit a larger screen on the PC version.
Regarding gameplay changes, Warcraft Rumble is about to introduce its first dual-faction Leader. Sylvanas Windrunner will lead both the Horde and the Undead factions, offering her signature abilities such as Black Arrow and Haunt. Any Minis positioned near Sylvanas will gain a speed boost thanks to her passive ability, Windrunner Warchief. Further dual-faction Leaders like AnubArak, Malfurion, and Ogrim Doomhammer are also planned for future updates.
In simpler terms, a ‘Split Leader’ can advance Sigil progress for two related groups simultaneously. Performing an ‘Arclight Surge’ will divide the earned Family Crests between the two families associated with the leader. This split effect applies in Player versus Player (PvP) scenarios as well, with the only difference being that Crests are distributed across both families. Keep an eye out for ‘Split Leaders’ on the G.R.I.D., they might appear during either of their families’ designated dungeon weeks.
On Tuesday, December 10, you can begin participating in the beta for Warcraft Rumble on your computer. To learn more about the unveiling on Thursday and the role of Sylvanas, visit the Blizzard website.
