As a diehard wrestling fan who’s witnessed Saraya’s incredible journey, I must say it’s a rollercoaster of emotions to see her back in action after her neck injury and AEW stint. The Brit has proven time and again that she’s a force to be reckoned with, from her days as Paige in WWE to her reign as the AEW Women’s World Champion last year.
As a devoted admirer, I’ve just come across some fresh updates about the current standing of the ex-AEW Women’s World Champion, Saraya – who you might remember as the legendary Paige from her WWE era. Excitingly, it seems that Saraya has rekindled her professional wrestling journey once more!
After her WWE contract ended in 2022, Saraya moved on to AEW. After retiring in 2018 due to a neck injury, she made a comeback in the ring two years later at AEW Full Gear against Britt Baker. Since joining All Elite Wrestling, Saraya has climbed her way to the top of the women’s division.
Last year at All In in her native United Kingdom, she clinched the AEW Women’s World Championship. Recently, Saraya fought for a chance to become the AEW Women’s World title contender during an episode of Dynamite on October 8th. Unfortunately, it was Willow Nightingale who emerged victorious against Jamie Hayter, Nyla Rose, and Saraya. Since this defeat, she has not been featured in any AEW broadcasts.
Recently, a fan inquired about my return on social media, mentioning they thought I was hurt. This tweet piqued my interest, and I felt compelled to clarify. I want to assure everyone that I’m not injured, but I have been absent from AEW programming for a while now. Lately, more details about my current situation have surfaced.

As per reports from Fightful Select’s Q&A, her well-being is good according to Sean Ross Sapp. He shared that she’s currently engaged in other endeavors and has agreed to an extension with AEW for another year.
As a devoted fan, I’m eagerly looking forward to the news about the exact projects she’s been engaged in, as they’ve yet to be revealed. However, what I do know is that her commitment to All Elite Wrestling has been extended for another year, which gives us all reason to believe that her return to the ring is imminent.
