As a seasoned analyst with over two decades of experience in the financial industry, I’ve seen my fair share of regulatory battles and market turmoil. The upcoming documentary “Rigged from the Start: Exposing the SEC’s War on Crypto” is an intriguing development that promises to shed light on the ongoing legal standoff between Ripple Labs and the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
A fresh documentary called “Rigged from the Beginning: Unveiling the SEC’s Crusade against Crypto” was recently premiered in Arizona. This revealing program aims to shed light on previously unseen aspects of the ongoing legal dispute between Ripple Labs, creators of XRP, and the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
This documentary, hailing from Fruition Productions in Los Angeles – a company that specializes in both films and gaming – offers an extraordinary peek behind the scenes with some major players within the entertainment industry.
Based on what the production crew shared, you’ll find well-known cryptocurrency influencers and digital finance specialists featured in “Rigged from the Start”. Their aim is to shed light on the ongoing dispute between Ripple and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
It’s worth mentioning that Brad Garlinghouse, Ripple’s CEO and a prominent critic of the SEC, might not be included in the documentary. According to reports, he chose not to participate in the project.
XRP Documentary: Journey So Far and What to Expect
As reported by Fruition Productions, the original intention was to name the documentary “XRP Unleashed”. Yet, with just a few weeks remaining before the final unveiling, they decided to change the title instead.
In making this switch, the studio wasn’t acting on a whim. Instead, they chose the new title with the intention of appealing to viewers who might not recognize XRP and find it more relatable.
Regarding the Arizona showing, Fruition mentioned that it marks just the start of the documentary’s adventure. The crew embarked on a tour of seven cities and have received encouraging responses. This growing enthusiasm has prompted the production team to think about organizing another tour in December.
Fruition Productions has highlighted Florida as one of the potential stops for the second tour.
The Ripple vs SEC Saga
People who are interested in cryptocurrencies and investments have been following the court case between Ripple and the Securities and Exchange Commission with great anticipation. They express worries about the SEC’s regulatory methods and question what this could mean for the future of digital currencies within the U.S.
All of these concerns will be aired in the documentary as it sheds more light on the SEC’s high-profile lawsuit against Ripple. The SEC’s argument remains that Ripple Labs illegally sold XRP as an unregistered security. Ripple also maintains its stand by denying those claims. The firm insists that XRP should not be classified as a security, arguing that the case is merely a regulatory overreach on the SEC’s part.
If you can’t make it in person, don’t worry! The documentary we’ve been waiting for will start streaming online on Fruition Productions’ website from November 21st onwards. Enjoy the show from the comfort of your home!
It’s anticipated that the streaming launch will draw in a wider viewership, which is the studio’s goal for educating a larger number of individuals regarding the SEC’s case against Ripple and its potential impact on the entire cryptocurrency market.
According to a report by Coinspeaker on August 26, Fruition Productions plans to expand the distribution of their documentary beyond their own website. To ensure it reaches a wider audience, they will make the documentary accessible for streaming not just on their site but also on popular platforms like Amazon Prime, AppleTV, and other major streaming services.
