Mouthwashing: What Does Swansea Do to Daisuke & Why?

Why Daisuke gets killed by Swansea in the Mouthwashing game?

Swansea is forced to euthanize Daisuke due to his fatal injuries.

Initially, Daisuke is a naive intern on the ill-fated Tulpar spacecraft, eventually winning over players’ hearts. Regrettably, a chain of catastrophic occurrences results in his sorrowful end. Shortly after Daisuke’s arrival, the ship’s mechanic, Swansea, develops a protective bond towards the novice intern, which intensifies the emotional impact of his final scenes.

The story unfolds following a tragic accident involving the ship, which leads to medic Anya confining herself within the medical bay alongside captain Curly. Jimmy instructs Daisuke, an uninvolved individual, to navigate through a damaged ventilation system to reach them. Regrettably, during this perilous trek, the intern sustains severe injuries.

Additionally, the wounds inflicted on Daisuke by the sharp metal fragments in the wrecked vent are so severe they cannot be treated effectively. If left untreated, these wounds lead to infection that eventually proves fatal. Despite Swansea’s valiant efforts to save him, it was futile. Ultimately, faced with no other choice, he decides to end Daisuke’s suffering and takes his life using a fire axe.

Eventually, it was Swansea who delivered the fatal strike, as he had always sought to shield the young intern. Undeniably, the demise of Daisuke remains one of the most distressing incidents that the team members have had to endure.
