As a devoted fan of Yellowstone, I can hardly contain my excitement as I witness the groundbreaking ratings success of Season 5 Part 2! With over 16.4 million viewers tuning in for the premiere, this Western saga has truly staked its claim as a television powerhouse.
In a press statement, it was revealed that the second half of Season 5 for Yellowstone achieved unprecedented viewing figures.
According to VideoAmp’s estimates, the debut of Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2 attracted a record-breaking 16.4 million viewers on its premiere night. This figure represents a 3% growth compared to the viewership of the Season 5 Part 1 premiere, which drew 15.9 million viewers.
The Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2 premiere’s viewership was determined by VideoAmp’s projected Total Persons/Live+SD gross viewership across all cable networks and CBS airings. The premiere aired on Paramount Network, with subsequent airings and simulcasts occurring on CBS, CMT, Comedy Central, MTV, MTV2, Logo, Pop, and TV Land.
What to expect in Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2?
The debut of Yellowstone swiftly tackled the absence of Kevin Costner, portraying the character John Dutton, by revealing him deceased in his own bathroom, with a firearm nearby. His early demise was determined to be self-inflicted through gunshots.
Yet, it transpires that Sarah Atwood, Jamie’s manipulative partner who works as a fixer, was behind the plot to have John killed. She arranged for the assassination and instructed the killer to stage the demise as a suicide.
Yellowstone features Kelly Reilly portraying Beth Dutton, Luke Grimes in the role of Kayce Dutton, Wes Bentley playing Jamie Dutton, Cole Hauser as Rip Wheeler, Kelsey Asbille representing Monica Long Dutton, and Gil Birmingham taking on Chief Thomas Rainwater.
Yellowstone is jointly developed and overseen by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson, with Art Linson, Kevin Costner, David C. Glasser, Bob Yari, Stephen Kay, Michael Friedman, Christina Voros, and Keith Cox also serving as executive producers on the project.
As a dedicated Yellowstone fan, I can’t wait to tune in this coming Sunday, November 17th, at 8 PM Eastern and Pacific Time, right here on the Paramount Network. It’s going to be an exciting episode you won’t want to miss!
