Space Marine 2 4.5 patch notes add Neo-Volkite Pistol, but it can’t be used everywhere

As a seasoned Space Marine 2 gamer with countless hours under my belt, I must say that the recent 4.5 update has been a breath of fresh air. The new Neo-Volkite Pistol is an absolute game-changer, and while it’s a pity it’s not available in all modes yet, I’m excited to try it out in the Battle Barge’s Sparring Arena.

According to the latest announcement from Saber Interactive, Warhammer 40: Space Marine 2 has rolled out Update 4.5. In this new patch, the game developers have introduced several combat enhancements aimed at counterbalancing recent adjustments, also unveiling a fresh weapon for players’ arsenal. However, please note that this new weapon is not available in all game modes.

As an avid player, I’m thrilled to share that we’re gearing up for additional operations and the introduction of fresh Tyranid and Chaos forces! Although this update might seem a bit smaller, it’s packed with numerous balance adjustments designed to further enhance the gaming experience. So, let’s get ready to roll the dice and embark on even more exciting battles!

Space Marine 2 4.5 Patch Notes

Below, you’ll find the full patch notes for Space Marine 2’s 4.5 update:

New Weapon: Neo-Volkite Pistol

As a devoted enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that the formidable Neo-Volkite Pistol, boasting an impressive thermal beam, has just been made accessible for the Assault, Vanguard, and Bulwark characters! Let’s gear up and give it a try!

Instead of firing conventional bullets, the Neo-Volkite Pistol discharges a beam of intense heat that inflicts cumulative thermal damage on adversaries. When you concentrate on a single enemy, the damage intensifies progressively, ultimately triggering a localized explosion for massive harm not only to your target but also to surrounding enemies.

As a devoted player, I wanted to share some exciting news about the Neo-Volkite Pistol! For the time being, it will only appear during Operations, as we’re still tweaking its performance for Player vs Player (PvP) encounters. In our upcoming major update, you can expect to see this weapon in Eternal War mode, along with a fresh Operations map, a new adversary, and the stylish Dark Angels cosmetics! Until then, you’ll have the opportunity to test it against your friends in the Battle Barge’s Sparring Arena. Can’t wait for the update!
