Mohanlal’s wife Suchitra opens up on disliking his films: ‘I just couldn’t digest’

As a lifestyle expert with years of experience under my belt, I find it intriguing to delve into the lives of celebrated personalities like Mohanlal. His career is nothing short of phenomenal, and his dedication to his craft is inspiring. Yet, there’s an interesting twist in his personal life that sheds light on the dynamics between artists and their loved ones.

Mohanlal is an open-book hero for fans of all ages, consistently delivering captivating performances that leave audiences in awe. However, it seems that his wife, Suchitra, offers a contrasting viewpoint. In fact, she has openly shared her complex emotions about some of his films. Stick around to discover what the star’s spouse has to say regarding Mohanlal’s extensive filmography.

During a chat with Rekha Menon, Suchitra, daughter of film producer K. Balaji, admitted that not all of her husband’s movies have resonated with her personally. However, she’s been honest and straightforward in expressing her thoughts on his films.

She expressed that if she dislikes a movie, she’ll let it be known. There are quite a few movies of his that she found hard to watch.

In our ongoing discussion, Suchitra stressed that although she might not appreciate all movies starring Mohanlal, it doesn’t diminish the effort put forth by every individual in the cast and crew. She made it clear that no movie is deliberately produced with the aim of being poor from the outset.

Creating a movie is the culmination of many people’s dedicated efforts. No one intends for their film to turn out poorly. The making of a movie is not solely my responsibility; it’s a collaborative endeavor where everyone contributes their best, and no one aims to produce a bad movie.

Back then in April 1988, Mohanlal and Suchitra exchanged vows. Even though she’s the wife of a highly recognized actor, Suchitra chooses to stay out of the limelight. The duo has been fortunate enough to welcome two beautiful additions to their family: their son Pranav Mohanlal and daughter Vismaya Mohanlal.

In the tradition of his famous father, Mohanlal’s son, Pranav, embarked on an acting career, and he additionally lends his voice to songs in films. On the contrasting side, Mohanlal’s daughter, Vismaya, has gained recognition as a prominent writer.

In terms of his career, Mohanlal boasts an upcoming slate of movies, such as Barroz, L2: Empuraan, Vrushabha, Ram, and a brief appearance in Vishnu Manchu’s film titled Kannappa.
