As a die-hard fan of Christopher Nolan’s cinematic masterpieces, I can hardly contain my excitement as Anne Hathaway and Zendaya join the cast of his upcoming untitled project! The opportunity to witness these two extraordinary talents collaborate with the genius director himself is nothing short of thrilling.
Anne Hathaway and Zendaya have joined the cast of Christopher Nolan’s next movie.
Following the success of his Academy Award-winning film “Oppenheimer”, Christopher Nolan has moved onto directing another movie, this time for Universal Pictures. Currently, specifics about the storyline are being kept confidential, but it’s known that Tom Holland and Matt Damon have been enlisted for roles in the production.
Per Deadline, two more stars have also joined the cast of the movie: Anne Hathaway and Zendaya.
Previously, Anne Hathaway collaborated with director Christopher Nolan. Her first role for him was as Selina Kyle/Catwoman in the 2012 film The Dark Knight Rises, followed by Dr. Amelia Brand in Interstellar, released in 2014. Apart from Nolan’s projects, Hathaway has also appeared in films like The Princess Diaries (2001), Ella Enchanted (2004), The Devil Wears Prada (2006), Les Misérables (2012), Ocean’s 8 (2018), and The Idea of You (2024), along with several other titles.
For the first time ever, Zendaya and Nolan will be collaborating on a project. Zendaya’s impressive acting career includes her role as MJ in the Marvel Cinematic Universe Spider-Man trilogy, Chani in the Dune films, as well as appearances in 2017’s The Greatest Showman, Malcolm & Marie from 2021, and Challengers slated for release in 2024.
There’s chatter online that Lupita Nyong’o might star in the upcoming movie, but it hasn’t been confirmed yet. The posts about her are connected to an article on Deadline, however, neither Nyong’o nor a correction to the story is mentioned in that piece.
What else do we know about Christopher Nolan’s new movie?
As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but speculate about what Christopher Nolan might have up his sleeve for his next cinematic masterpiece. The buzz right now is all about an intriguing theory revolving around a duo of helicopter cops, with one character possibly portraying an older officer and the other embodying a younger counterpart in this potential project.
It was also recently announced that Nolan’s movie will utilize a never-before-used IMAX technology.
On July 17, 2026, Nolan’s upcoming, as-yet-unnamed film is set to hit U.S. cinemas, distributed by Universal Pictures.
