As a gamer with a keen interest in sports and politics, I find myself deeply moved by Simone Biles’ heartfelt message to President Joe Biden. Her courage and determination are truly inspiring, not just on the gym mat but also in standing up for what she believes is right for women in America.
Simone Biles has penned a letter to President Joe Biden following Kamala Harris’ loss in the 2024 presidential race. As the well-known gymnast joins numerous other influential figures, she voices her opinions as Donald Trump prepares to become the 47th President of the United States. Having shared her feelings about the election outcome, Biles is now urging Biden to take action during his remaining time in office.
Simone Biles has a special message for Joe Biden
Dear Mr. Biden,
— Simone Biles (@Simone_Biles) November 6, 2024
As a devoted fan, I’d put it this way: “I, just like countless other American women, recently reached out to President Joe Biden via his platform. In a heartfelt note, I urged him to stand tall and make a significant impact before he leaves office, signing off affectionately as ‘the women in America,’ with a blue heart emoji.
Previously on Election Day, Biles expressed her support for Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee, on Threads. Later, she expressed her dismay on the same platform when Donald Trump was declared the winner of the presidential race. Biles initially reacted with shock, saying “you’ve got to be kidding me.” She followed up with “I’m SO sorry America” and later wrote “we deserve better.
Simultaneously, Biles’ call for action on X (previously Twitter) sparked a range of responses. Some individuals shared their views, while one user questioned, “Is this something he should have done during the Biden/Harris Administration over the past four years? Why would he do it now?” Another commenter simply stated, “Let’s avoid stirring up divisions.
2024 saw an incredibly successful year for the athlete. Simone Biles claimed three gold medals and a silver at the Olympics in Paris, cementing her position as the most decorated gymnast ever. Additionally, she released her Netflix documentary titled “Simone Biles Rising,” which chronicled her inspiring comeback to the Olympic stage. More recently, the gymnastics phenomenon has been displaying her talents during the Gold Over America Tour.
