As a seasoned gamer who has navigated through countless virtual worlds and encounters, I can certainly appreciate Olivia Rodrigo‘s unique approach to filtering out potential suitors. Her “oddly specific question” about space travel is not only intriguing but also a clever way to weed out those with an inflated ego or unrealistic ambitions.
Olivia Rodrigo shared a unique question she poses on initial dates to identify potential warning signs and keep undesirable individuals at bay. The actress, whose “GUTS World Tour” documentary is now streaming on Netflix, spoke about this topic during her interview with the platform. In addition, she disclosed the significance behind some of her popular tour tank tops, one of which was a tribute to Britney Spears.

Netflix shared a brief video of Olivia Rodrigo discussing her method for avoiding men with red flag characteristics during initial dates. Rodrigo explained that on first encounters, she poses an “unusually specific” question to gauge the person’s response. She went on to say, “I always ask them if they would ever want to go to space.” The singer stated that if a potential partner responded affirmatively, she wouldn’t pursue a relationship with them.
Rodrigo clarified his unusual first date question, saying, “I think if you want to go to space, you’re overconfident.” In her view, it was simply strange. The streaming service also seemed to find Rodrigo’s revelation odd by captioning the video, “Farewell, never-space men.
During the same interview, Rodrigo delved into the symbolism behind her tank tops during the GUTS World Tour. The singer offered insights on each of her tanks. Discussing the first one which said “We come to this place for magic,” she clarified its reference to Nicole Kidman’s AMC Theatres introduction and added that it can be “even better than the movie itself.” She also disclosed that the one with the phrase “Dump Him” is a tribute to Britney Spears’ classic style.
After briefly deviating from wearing tank tops, Olivia Rodrigo delved into discussing the first date question, then returned to her explanations. One top bore the phrase “Pisces Princess,” a title she embraced at age 21 as it seemed fitting. Another read “I kiss better than I cook,” which she confirmed was accurate and described herself as an excellent kisser. Later, she mentioned that she’s also been striving to become a good cook. The final tank top read “Carrie Bradshaw AF,” a nod to her beloved show “Sex and the City.” Interestingly, she donned it during her performance at Madison Square Garden in New York City – the city where “Sex and the City” takes place.
