As a die-hard fan who has spent countless hours listening to Bruce Springsteen‘s music and reading about his life story, I can hardly contain my excitement for “Deliver Me From Nowhere.” The addition of Marc Maron, Gaby Hoffmann, and David Krumholtz to the cast only serves to heighten my anticipation.
In simpler terms, the biographical drama titled “Deliver Me From Nowhere,” starring Jeremy Allen White from The Bear, has announced three new cast members. Among them is Marc Maron, a well-known actor and humorist.
In the forthcoming movie, the focus will be on the highly regarded 1982 album “Nebraska” by Springsteen. Pike is set to portray the renowned musician in this biopic. The script and direction are handled by Scott Cooper, inspired by Warren Zanes’ book “Deliver Me from Nowhere: The Creation of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska”.
20th Century Studios’ production, titled “Deliver Me From Nowhere,” is at present being filmed in both New Jersey and New York.
Who else is in the Deliver Me From Nowhere cast?
As per Variety’s report, Maron is slated to portray the character of Chuck Plotkin, a music producer, in the film “Deliver Me From Nowhere”. Alongside him will be Gaby Hoffmann, who will play Adele Springsteen, Bruce Springsteen’s mother, and David Krumholtz, cast as Al Teller, a music executive.
Beyond Jeremy Strong portraying Jon Landau, Springsteen’s manager, we also have Paul Walter Hauser as the role of recording engineer Mike Batlan, along with Odessa Young, Stephen Graham, Johnny Cannizzaro, and Harrison Gilbertson completing the ensemble cast.
According to the plot summary (as reported by Variety), Deliver Me From Nowhere “tracks Springsteen as he works on his 1982 album ‘Nebraska,’ a minimalist record that signaled a creative change from the anthemic ‘Born to Run’ and ‘The River.’
Marc Maron is primarily recognized for hosting his popular weekly podcast, WTF with Marc Maron. Beyond this, he has gained recognition through his roles in various productions such as Netflix’s GLOW, The Horror of Dolores Roach, The Order, Genie, To Leslie, Respect, Stardust, Spenser Confidential, Joker, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, and Flock of Dudes, among other projects.
In the late 80s and early 90s, Hoffmann kicked off her acting journey as a young actress, landing lead roles in movies like Field of Dreams (1989), Uncle Buck, This Is My Life (1992), and Sleepless in Seattle (1993). After a hiatus, she made a comeback to the screen in 2007, appearing in films such as Severed Ways, Crystal Fairy & the Magical Cactus, Veronica Mars, Manhattan Romance, and more.
In addition, Krumholtz has made a name for himself with notable performances in shows like Numb3rs, Slums of Beverly Hills, The Santa Clause, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, as well as the upcoming movie, Oppenheimer.
