Not Dogecoin But This Altcoin Is the Best Pick Post-Trump Win, Says Crypto CEO

The recent shift in Andrew Kang’s bullish outlook from Dogecoin (DOGE) to First Neiro On Ethereum (NEIRO), following Donald Trump’s victory, has piqued my curiosity.

Andrew Kang, the founder and CEO of Mechanism Capital, has changed his optimistic viewpoint from Dogecoin (DOGE) to First Neiro On Ethereum (NEIRO), due to Donald Trump’s significant win in the U.S. presidential election. In a sequence of posts on X, published on Wednesday, November 6th, Kang expressed his belief that NEIRO is set for substantial growth over the next few months.

Better Than Dogecoin?

If Trump wins, it seems that NEIRO, being the likely heir to Dogecoin, could potentially reach billions in the coming months,” Kang wrote. He went on to say, “It’s hard not to consider NEIRO as one of the best coins to own following a Trump/Elon win. As the natural successor to Dogecoin, its trajectory towards a run similar to that of Doge and Shiba Inu, and even discussions about it overtaking them, seems inevitable. While Dogecoin is good, newer ones might be even better.

As an analyst, I was among the early voices to label Dogecoin as the leading “Trump trade” within the cryptocurrency market – a strategy for investors who believed in a Trump victory. On October 15, I pointed out: “One intriguing method to execute a ‘Trump Victory’ trade might involve owning DOGE (and other meme-based coins). Not only does Dogecoin have a strong possibility of an ETF, but the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) would be garnering headlines each week and pushed forward by Trump.

Among many crypto analysts, this point of view became popular because they saw Dogecoin as a clear indicator for predicting a Trump victory. This connection originates from Elon Musk’s suggestion to head a “Department of Government Efficiency” (D.O.G.E.) under the Trump administration, which aimed to cut excessive government spending in the U.S.

Starting from Kang’s original post on October 15th, the value of Dogecoin has skyrocketed by more than 70%, moving up from $0.1158 to over $0.20 at this moment. However, NEIRO underwent a substantial drop of around 22% during the same timeframe. After attaining its record high of $0.002333 on October 15th, NEIRO saw a dip, but it has recently shown signs of revival, increasing by about 42% in the past 48 hours and currently trading at $0.001786.

The backing by Kang of the crypto project NEIRO has ignited a discussion within the cryptocurrency sphere. Crypto analyst Crypto Stream (@CryptoStreamHub) raised doubts about the rising trend among industry influencers to promote meme coins, commenting on Kang’s post: “I’m curious as to when it became acceptable for industry leaders to push meme coins? Raoul Pal was first, I heard Arthur Hayes endorse GOAT yesterday, and now Kang is endorsing NEIRO. I’m not trying to be critical; instead, I’m genuinely puzzled about the shift in direction.

Analyst CryptoGugu (@Silivabrota) voiced doubts about NEIRO’s capabilities and suggested caution against market manipulation: “Friends, refrain from equating NEIRO with DOGE. Instead, NEIRO appears to be a liquidity-grab scheme at the moment, while DOGE is genuine. The graph is dismal since the new market maker was introduced. The market maker is merely fluctuating up and down in search of liquidity, while whales are offloading. A change needs to occur quickly or NEIRO will continue experiencing significant losses.
