Jordana Brewster Reveals Her 1 Fast & Furious Regret

As a gamer who has spent countless hours immersed in the Fast & Furious universe, I can wholeheartedly empathize with Jordana Brewster‘s sentiments about Mia Toretto’s grittiness not being fully retained in the fourth film. Having revisited the series multiple times, it’s clear that the character’s spirit was truly unleashed in Fast Five, and I find myself wishing for a time machine to correct the course of the fourth installment.

Jordana Brewster is a mainstay in the Fast & Furious franchise, but the actress does have one regret when it comes to how she played the character of Mia Toretto.

What did Jordana Brewster regret about Fast & Furious?

In an interview with ComingSoon, Brewster expressed her enthusiasm about rejoining the Fast & Furious series after a hiatus between the first and fourth films. However, she lamented that her character’s tough edge seemed to soften in the fourth movie.

Brewster expressed that upon his return, he felt there was a disconnect between the first episode and the fourth, as the latter seemed to lack the grittiness present in the original which returned in episode five. He admitted feeling as if he had made a mistake in episode four and regretted it, wishing he could go back in time and redo that episode. However, he was thrilled that the series has become such a significant part of people’s lives.

Gladly, I was thrilled to witness the gritty return for Fast Five, the fifth installment of the Fast & Furious series. So far, I’ve been a part of seven out of the ten Fast & Furious movies that have hit the screens, with exceptions being 2 Fast 2 Furious, The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, and The Fate of the Furious.

A new installment in the Fast & Furious series, Fast X (originally intended to be its finale), has been under production. But in 2023, actor Vin Diesel astonished fans by revealing that an additional film, making it a total of 12 movies, would actually be produced, transforming Fast X, Fast 11, and Fast 12 into the concluding trilogy for the franchise. At this point in time, it remains uncertain if this plan is still in place.
