Actor Lil Rel Howery has revealed plans for his first directorial venture, which is a horror-comedy film entitled “Haunted Heist.

Lil Rel Howery is recognized for his roles as Rod Williams in Jordan Peele’s Get Out and Marcus Parker in the Vacation Friends series. What is Lil Rel Howery’s Haunted Heist about?

In the film titled “four estranged friends gather at what appears to be an ordinary home,” the plot summary goes: One friend, however, harbors secret intentions; he intends to burglarize the residence and enlists their aid in locating a valuable antique. Unfortunately, the house is genuinely haunted, forcing the group to set aside their disagreements to endure the night and outwit a pack of deranged spirits.

Filming for the movie “Haunted Heist,” penned by Carl Reid, is set to start in January 2025. The Coven team plans to unveil better investment opportunities for this project at the American Film Market.

Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that Howery is working on the project “Haunted Heist” in collaboration with Josh Feldman, Sean King O’Grady, Feras Majid Shammami, and Jesse Ford. Priscilla Ross Smith and Kendall Anlian are serving as executive producers for this production.

Howery expressed his enthusiasm about being involved with this project, both in front of and behind the camera. He added that it’s bound to be an enjoyable experience.

The blacksmith from the coven said, ‘We’re constantly on the hunt for something exciting and original. The perfect Saturday night film that audiences dream of. I have no doubt that Haddish and Howery will hit it out of the ballpark.’

A release date for Haunted Heist has not yet been announced.
