WWE’s Huge Plans for the New Day’s Anniversary Show

As a die-hard WWE fan with over two decades of fandom under my belt, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and apprehension as The New Day approaches their tenth anniversary. Their journey from struggling singles competitors to one of WWE’s most beloved tag teams has been nothing short of extraordinary. From their infectious catchphrases to their record-breaking title reigns, they have left an indelible mark on the world of professional wrestling.

WWE is preparing to honor its most decorated tag team, The New Day, as this group nears its tenth anniversary. Back in 2014, Xavier Woods proposed the idea of creating The New Day to Big E and Kofi Kingston, bringing together these three superstars at a time when each was facing challenges in individual competition.

Back in 2015, I was part of a historic moment when we claimed the WWE Tag Team Championships for the first time. And not just any victory, but one that set a record by holding onto those titles for an incredible 483 days! Although The Usos have now broken this record with their 622-day reign in 2022, our legacy as The New Day remains undisputed and unmatched.

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but marvel at how swiftly “The Power of Positivity” and “The New Day Rocks” catchphrases endeared this incredible faction to us all, transforming them into one of WWE’s most cherished groups. In the grand spectacle that was WrestleMania 35 in 2019, Kofi Kingston etched his name in history by claiming the WWE Championship. Fast-forward two years, Big E followed suit, lifting the Championship on an episode of RAW. In the same year, Xavier Woods further bolstered their impressive resume with a triumph in the King of the Ring tournament.

After nearly reaching their 10th year united, the group is facing some difficulties at present. Since early 2022, Big E has been out due to a neck injury, leaving only Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston in the faction. Moreover, rumors indicate that friction between Woods and Kingston has been escalating over the past few months.

In a recent edition of RAW, Adam Pearce unveiled intentions to devote an entire show to honoring The New Day. Meanwhile, rumors indicate that WWE holds significant plans for the group’s upcoming anniversary event.

WWE’s The New Day anniversary celebration plans revealed

Based on PWInsider’s reports, around a few weeks back, WWE recorded a substantial amount of content involving all three members of The New Day at their main office. It seems that an intended segment might have featured the trio throwing ice cream as part of a celebration to WWE staff at the headquarters.

As WWE readies thrilling schemes for the faction’s decade milestone, fans can anticipate the long-awaited reunion of all three members. Yet, there’s buzz that this anniversary could hold a significant surprise. This is due to WWE subtly hinting at a potential disagreement brewing between Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston, which might lead to a split.
