As an ardent fan who has followed Sai Pallavi‘s journey since her debut, I must say that her resilience and determination never cease to amaze me. The challenges she faced during the shooting of NGK were not just technical hurdles but emotional battles as well. Yet, she persevered, found solace in the words of encouragement from Dhanush, and emerged stronger than ever.
Sai Pallavi, currently enjoying the success of Amaran, has shared her experiences about filming NGK (Nandha Gopalan Kumaran). This movie was helmed by Selvaraghavan and starred Suriya as the primary actor. In a chat with Behindwoods, she disclosed that she contemplated quitting due to feeling “uneasy” during her early days on set.
Sai Pallavi reminisced about her initial days on the N.G.K set, confessing that she felt uneasy since she couldn’t gauge her performance after each take because director Selva wouldn’t confirm if it was satisfactory or not. This left her uncertain and questioning her acting abilities.
Instead, Sai Pallavi mentioned that Dhanush contacted her about the situation concerning Selva’s shoot. She revealed, “Dhanush phoned me and inquired how things were progressing with Selva’s filming. I voiced my worries, to which he responded, ‘Don’t fret, he’s merely testing us. Everything will be alright shortly.’
Following a conversation with Dhanush, Sai Pallavi found herself feeling at ease and approached the set of NGK with a optimistic outlook. Additionally, she had the ongoing encouragement of her fellow actor, Suriya, during the production of the movie.
Right now, Sai Pallavi is floating on air due to the triumph of Amaran, a movie alongside Sivakarthikeyan. This film is approaching the Rs 200 crore club at global box offices. In fact, it entered the Rs 100 crore club within just three days after its release. Despite tough rivalry from films like Lucky Baskhar, Brother, Bloody Beggar, KA, Singham Again and others, the movie passed the Monday test with ease.
It appears that predictions indicate Amaran could rank as the second highest-earning Tamil film in 2024, following Thalapathy Vijay’s GOAT.
