Film director Lokesh Kanagaraj, recognized for his work on films like Kaithi, Vikram, and Leo, aspires to team up with Bollywood actor Aamir Khan in the future. Though he’s collaborated with many influential figures within the South Indian film industry, this celebrated creator expressed interest in a potential partnership with Aamir Khan, whom he admires greatly. In a recent conversation, Lokesh shared his enthusiasm for the possibility of working alongside “Mr Perfectionist.

Lokesh Kanagaraj recently discussed his career in the film industry, sharing insights on working with celebrities such as Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, as well as future collaborations he might be considering. When asked about a possible partnership with Aamir Khan, Kanagaraj mentioned that they have indeed been discussing the idea.

Additionally, Lokesh expressed that he is an ardent admirer of Aamir Khan. To add to this, when Aamir Khan’s latest movie “Laal Singh Chaddha” came out, the Bollywood icon reached out to Lokesh and they watched the film together in Chennai. Beyond that, Lokesh not only provided feedback on director Advait Chandan’s comedy-drama but also shared his appreciation for the 2022 production.

Following this, whenever their schedules align in Mumbai or Chennai, they make an effort to catch up and discuss movies. In response, the Southern filmmaker expressed, “There’s potential, given my obligations. If all goes smoothly, why not brainstorm ideas? I’d be thrilled about it,” concluding on an optimistic note.

Lately, I had the privilege of attending the screening for the movie Bloody Beggar, starring Kavin. At this event, I was asked about potentially working on Leo 2 with Thalapathy Vijay. In response, I expressed that it would ultimately be ‘Vijay Anna’ who makes the decision. If he gives his approval, I will undoubtedly move forward with creating the highly anticipated film.

Fans of cinema have been pondering over one question in particular due to the open-ended conclusion of the film Leo starring Thalapathy Vijay. Many believed that a sequel was imminent, but its production status remains uncertain. Meanwhile, during the same press event, Lokesh confirmed that the filming for Coolie featuring Rajinikanth is going well and only two more shooting schedules are left before completion.

In addition to established actors such as Nagarjuna Akkineni and Upendra Rao taking on significant parts, the upcoming film also includes them. Unfortunately, fans must be patient a bit more before learning when exactly this movie will hit theaters.
