As a seasoned gamer and movie enthusiast with a knack for deciphering film rumors, I must admit that the upcoming project “Hurry Up Tomorrow” has me intrigued! With a talented trio like Trey Edward Shults, Jenna Ortega, and Barry Keoghan on board, coupled with The Weeknd’s involvement in both the movie and his upcoming album, this promises to be an unforgettable cinematic experience.
The upcoming film directed by Trey Edward Shults, featuring The Weeknd, Jenna Ortega, and Barry Keoghan in an enigmatic storyline, now has an official title and has been bought by Lionsgate.
The title of the forthcoming film is “Hurry Up Tomorrow,” which signifies the conclusion of The Weeknd’s – otherwise known as Abel Tesfaye – trilogy of albums. This movie serves as an extension of his upcoming album with the same name and will be penned and helmed by Shults, who is known for “Waves.
What do we know about Hurry Up Tomorrow?
Since the beginning of this year, whispers about the project have been circulating, as the movie’s creation was initially announced. It was then suggested that directors like Shults and The Weeknd had been quietly developing the project for several months.
At this point, it’s undetermined if any additional actors will join Tesfaye, Ortega, and Keoghan in the project. This upcoming movie is labeled as a “musically-centered psychological thriller.” Earlier reports from World of Reel hinted that there were rumors about the film being a reinterpretation of the 1990 movie Misery, with Ortega portraying a crazed admirer of The Weeknd.
In July 2023, Ortega posted a picture on Instagram of an enigmatic house reminiscent of the one featured in Misery, which may suggest an upcoming movie connection.
