Joining us are LaKeith Stanfield (Get Out, Sorry to Bother You), Ben Mendelsohn (Animal Kingdom), Uzo Aduba (Orange Is the New Black), Juno Temple (Ted Lasso), Melonie Diaz (Fruitvale Station), Molly Price (Babygirl), Lily Collias (Good One), Emory Cohen (Rebel Ridge), and Tony Revolori (Asteroid City). I can hardly wait to see this stellar ensemble bring the Roofman project to life!

In United States cinemas starting October 3, 2025, the movie “Roofman” will make its debut. This production is a joint effort between Paramount and Miramax. The director of this film is Derek Cianfrance, who co-wrote the script with Kirk Gunn. Lynette Howell Taylor, Jamie Patricof, and Duncan Montgomery are the producers for this project.
Inspired by real events, the film “Roofman” tells the tale of a ex-Army Ranger and hardworking father who resorts to burglarizing McDonald’s restaurants by creating openings in their roofs, earning him the moniker ‘Roofman.’ After managing to break out of prison, he begins anew, concealing himself within a toy store. There, he develops feelings for a single parent and her two daughters. However, his shady past and one last heist could potentially undermine his opportunity for salvation.
In 1998, Derek Cianfrance began his journey as a feature film director with “Brother Tied,” a movie he himself penned. His next feature was the 2010 release, “Blue Valentine,” featuring Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams in the leading roles. Subsequently, he collaborated again with Gosling for the 2012 production, “The Place Beyond the Pines.” This film also starred Bradley Cooper, Eva Mendes, Dane DeHaan, Rose Byrne, and Mahershala Ali.
