Oh, my dear fellow Outlander enthusiasts, it seems we are on the brink of a new adventure! After what feels like an eternity, Droughtlander is nearly over and Season 7B is almost upon us. I’ve been eagerly awaiting this moment since the heart-wrenching finale of Season 7A, and I can barely contain my excitement!
After an exceptionally prolonged interval, it’s nearly time for the end of the wait. Tomorrow marks the beginning of November, and with that comes a single, exciting truth: The second half of Outlander Season 7 is almost upon us!
Absolutely, we’ve got a bit more time to spare, but we’re edging closer. The seventh season of Outlander, part B, is set to debut on Friday, November 22nd on STARZ in the United States. In Canada, it will start airing on Sundays from November 24th on the W Network. For those living outside these regions, please check your local listings for broadcast details.
It is a weekly release. I prefer weekly releases, but I’m old school and I love to savor the episodes. There’s so much to talk about between the episodes, as well. Plus, if we got it as a binge-watch, Droughtlander would feel even longer!
Outlander season 7B will bring us separation, heartbreak, and more
A sneak peek at the upcoming episodes has been released. It seems there will be moments of sorrow, yet we can hope they won’t persist for too long.
The beginning of this season appears more promising than some previous ones. Claire, Jamie, and Young Ian have returned to Scotland, setting the stage for joyful reconnections. However, things don’t stay that way. Based on the promotional material, it seems that Claire will return to America without Jamie.
Later, there’s a scene in the trailer that has us concerned about Jamie. There seems to be some distressing news, yet Claire remains hopeful that Jamie is not deceased. We’ve tried to determine if this outcome is plausible without revealing book spoilers, so we approach it with optimism. However, it doesn’t guarantee that there won’t be moments of fear.
In the upcoming season, Kristin Atherton will portray the character known as Jenny Murray. Originally played by Laura Donnelly, she has had to step down due to her commitments on Broadway and her decision to leave the series. The cast is thrilled about Atherton’s addition, and we eagerly anticipate watching her bring the character to life. While there is only a brief teaser showing Jenny embracing Claire, it is from Jenny’s backside.
Next, let’s delve into the tales of Roger and Brianna, who find themselves in different eras. Notably, Roger is immersed in a past era, which isn’t where he or Buck had anticipated ending up. The question arises: How did they wind up in this particular time? There seems to be a connection to that man dressed as a World War II pilot.
In the year 1980, Brianna finds herself grappling with a challenging situation as she strives to protect her children. It’s uncertain whether Jem is also stuck in this time, and there’s an unknown risk that someone might target Mandy next. So, what course of action will Brianna take now?

Outlander season 7B release schedule
Each installment is scheduled to air weekly. It’s possible that there may be a week-long hiatus at some point within the broadcast schedule, which is common for STARZ with all of its series. The scheduling break in “Outlander” has been somewhat inconsistent. Sometimes it appears around the midpoint, and other times it occurs just before the final episode.
It appears that the final episode of Outlander Season 7 is expected to air on Friday, Jan. 17, given that there are eight episodes left to be aired. However, we’ll have to wait for a more definite announcement from STARZ regarding the exact schedule.
The eighth season of Outlander has already been filmed, and currently, it’s going through post-production. We anticipate its release in the year 2026. Furthermore, we’re looking forward to the release of Outlander: Blood of My Blood a year earlier, in 2025.
Outlander season 7B premieres on Friday, Nov. 22 on STARZ.
