Nintendo launches music app with "spoiler free" settings

As someone who has grown up with the magic of Nintendo games, I must say that Nintendo Music is an absolute game-changer! It’s like stepping into my very own personal Hyrule or Mushroom Kingdom, all thanks to the enchanting melodies that have been a part of my gaming journey.

Nintendo has rolled out a new application, offering users the chance to stream their preferred tunes from Nintendo video games, complete with intriguing additional functions.

In a private conversation, I’d dare say we’ve all fantasized about stepping into the shoes of our favorite video game characters at least once. However, there are some factors that might prevent us from becoming Link or an Animal Crossing villager – aside from concerns about damaging real-world pottery or your pet dog not being skilled enough to play the guitar like K.K. Slider.

The music! No videogame adventure would be complete without the right tunes to it. Whether you are doing “the Mario” or relaxing to the underwater theme of Donkey Kong Country, gaming scores are a perfect addition to your everyday life.

As it might be a bit inconvenient to lug your Switch everywhere, playing the soundtrack of your preferred game non-stop – Nintendo has introduced a novel application: Nintendo Tunes.

With the launch just hours away, Nintendo Music – an exclusive app for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers – offers you the opportunity to stream and download a variety of tunes from Nintendo’s extensive music collection! Keep up with the latest updates: [Link]

In the trailer, it’s evident that the application gives you the opportunity to enjoy tunes from numerous Nintendo games. Similar to popular music platforms, you can either stream or save songs, explore entire albums or curated playlists.

Playlists are designed around diverse themes such as those centered on characters, moods, or even personal fight scenes, plus many other options. Naturally, you can also fashion a unique playlist using the supplied music.

A captivating option to consider is the “spoiler prevention” setting. If you haven’t explored a particular game yet and wish to avoid potential spoilers through its soundtrack, you can choose to conceal tracks or entire albums. This means that when there are multiple forms of a Metroid boss battle, you will still be surprised and taken aback by the unexpected developments and the background music.

Additionally, you can extend certain tracks or set them on repeat for as long as an hour if you wish to hear specific songs more extensively. For instance, perhaps you weren’t quite satiated with the Kokiri Forest tune after being lost in that enchanting forest for so long…

Based on Nintendo’s announcement that they will be adding more music down the line, the current application features soundtracks such as:

  • Animal Crossing: New Horizons
  • Donkey Kong Country
  • Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade
  • Kirby Star Allies
  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
  • Metroid Prime
  • Pikmin 4
  • Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet
  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

If you’re interested in trying the app, ensure you have an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription. Once you do, dive into Nintendo Music to enhance your life soundtrack with an energizing boost!

How do you feel about the application? Is there a fresh, exciting element or is it just ordinary? Share your thoughts below!
