‘We are confident that the guilty will be punished’: Renukaswamy’s father REACTS to Darshan Thoogudeepa getting interim bail for spine surgery

As a fervent follower of the intricate tapestry of justice that unfolds within our beloved Karnataka, I find myself standing at the precipice of yet another dramatic chapter in the tumultuous saga of Darshan Thoogudeepa. A man once hailed as a silver screen hero, now entangled in the web of his own doing, facing the consequences of his actions.

On October 30, 2024, Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, who is currently imprisoned, received temporary release from the Karnataka High Court. This decision was made following an appeal by the defendant due to a medical emergency requiring spine surgery. The court has granted bail for six weeks to the 48-year-old actor, with certain conditions applied. Now, the father of the 33-year-old victim has shared his thoughts on this recent turn of events in the case.

Speaking to the media, Kashinath Shivanagoudar, father of Renukaswamy, voiced his confidence in India’s justice system, believing it will uphold fairness over everything. Although he chose not to comment on the Karnataka High Court’s decision granting bail to Darshan, his remarks suggested that he trusts the system will ultimately bring justice for the wrongdoer’s actions.

As an ardent follower, I can’t help but express my thoughts. The legal system has granted bail, and while it’s beyond me to pass judgment, I wholeheartedly trust that justice will prevail. I have unwavering faith in the law and the authorities, believing they’ll mete out appropriate punishment for those found guilty. As for the medical treatment of a certain individual (Darshan), it’s a matter best left to the doctors, him, and the court. I choose to remain silent on this matter.

Ultimately, he declared, “There’s nothing more to add except that wrongdoers should face consequences. Our trust lies with the legal system and justice, so we believe that the culprits will indeed be brought to justice.

On June 11, 2024, Darshan Thoogudeepa was taken into custody for the suspected murder of Renukaswamy, a fan from Chitradurga. According to reports, the actor, along with his associates, kidnapped and subjected Renukaswamy to cruel treatment in a shack on Bangalore’s outskirts, which eventually resulted in his tragic demise.

Later on, Renukaswamy’s disfigured body was discovered close to a drainage system in the Sumanahalli area of Bangalore. According to news sources, it is claimed that the actor killed the victim after receiving inappropriate messages from Pavithra Gowda, who is Darshan’s girlfriend, that were considered offensive.

To those not familiar with the situation, Darshan’s requests for bail have been denied twice by the Karnataka courts previously. In the most recent hearing, the court took into account the accused’s urgent need for surgery and decided that he will receive necessary medical attention at a government hospital.
