Ben Kingsley Returns to the MCU in Wonder Man Teaser Video

As a die-hard Marvel fan who has witnessed the rise of Iron Man to the Avengers and beyond, I can hardly contain my excitement upon seeing the return of Ben Kingsley‘s Trevor Slattery in the upcoming Wonder Man series! The clever twist of revealing him as an actor playing the Mandarin back in Iron Man 3 left me in stitches, and his subsequent appearances in All Hail the King and Shang-Chi only solidified my love for this eccentric character.

The first official Wonder Man footage includes the return of Ben Kingsley’s Trevor Slattery.

In 2013’s Iron Man 3, the first appearance of Kingsley’s character, Trevor Slattery, was made public. Initially, it was thought that he was the Mandarin; however, the movie eventually unveils that Trevor is nothing more than an actor who was employed to depict this villainous figure.

Later, Kingsley played the same character again in the 2014 standalone film named “All Hail the King.” Subsequently, he assumed a supporting role in the 2021 production titled “Shang-Chi and the Tale of the Ten Rings.

Previously, it had been made known that Trevor would star in Marvel Studios’ forthcoming Wonder Man series. Recently, Marvel unveiled a sneak peek for viewers, releasing a video highlighting several anticipated Disney+ productions they plan to launch soon.

Kevin Feige has mentioned that there’s an upcoming series called Wonder Man which he didn’t reveal much about on The Official Marvel Podcast. He simply hinted that it will be remarkably distinct from anything we’ve seen before. What excites him about working for a company like Marvel, which is over 25 years old and part of the Disney family, which is nearly 100 years old, is the opportunity to keep innovating, exploring new territories with characters and stories. This sense of exploration and creativity is what he finds most thrilling.

Wonder Man will premiere on Disney+ in December 2025.
