As a dedicated fan with countless hours invested in binge-watching The Bear, I can hardly contain my excitement! With John Landgraf, FX’s chairman, confirming that a significant portion of Season 4 has already been filmed, it feels like a dream come true. It’s not every day we get to witness the unfolding of a gripping culinary drama this quickly.
A new The Bear Season 4 update is here courtesy of FX‘s chairman, revealing that a large majority of the show’s fourth season has actually been filmed already.
During a chat on The Town with Matthew Belloni podcast, FX chief John Landgraf disclosed some exciting news about The Bear’s upcoming fourth season. He shared that the majority of filming for season four has already been completed, and an impressive number of episodes from both seasons three and four – over half in total – have already been produced.
As a dedicated gamer, I’m excited to share that out of the planned twenty episodes, we’ve managed to complete a little over sixteen and a half so far. That means we’ll be able to get back into production come February, to wrap up the remaining episodes!
It appears the latest news supports earlier speculation that The Bear’s fourth season was shot simultaneously with the third one, which had left some uncertainty following the premiere of season three. While the fourth season isn’t completed just yet, considering there are only about three and a half episodes left (assuming it has 10 episodes), we might not have to wait much longer for its return.
What do we know about The Bear Season 4?
At present, details are scant regarding The Bear’s fourth season, but it’s expected to continue directly from where season three concludes. In this continuation, Carmen (Jeremy Allen White) receives the announcement of a significant restaurant review, while Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) ponders the possibility of moving on to another venture.
In a delightful twist, The Bear’s third season kicked off on Hulu on June 27, boasting an impressive lineup of ten fresh episodes. Joining the talented cast, which includes Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Edwin Lee Gibson, and Matty Matheson, in this comedy-drama series. As for the specifics of the third season’s storyline and new characters, those details continue to be kept a secret.
In Season 3, an episode was led by Edebiri in her first director role; this marked her entry into directing. The executive producers for this season include Christopher Storer, Joanna Calo, Hiro Murai, Nate Matteson, and Josh Senior.
