The latest news regarding The Mandalorian & Grogu film

As a die-hard Star Wars fan who’s seen every episode since the original trilogy premiered, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and apprehension about The Mandalorian & Grogu movie. On one hand, Pedro Pascal’s portrayal of Din Djarin was nothing short of phenomenal, and it would be a shame to see him absent from the suit for this big-screen adventure.

It appears that some intriguing details have surfaced regarding the upcoming “Star Wars” production titled “The Mandalorian & Grogu“. As per recent reports, this movie, set for release on May 22, 2026, is said to have already completed its filming.

Nevertheless, this information doesn’t seem to address a significant query regarding the movie that many, including us, might have: what extent was Pedro Pascal involved? Given that filming for the production was happening in California, it’s worth noting that Pascal, who portrays the main character Mandalorian Din Djarin and more recently Grogu’s adoptive father, has been engrossed in filming Marvel’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic in London, England.

Though Pascal might not have donned the Mandalorian armor throughout the filming of “The Mandalorian” on Disney Plus, he did contribute his voice to the Star Wars character. Over three seasons, Pascal, together with an exceptionally gifted ensemble, captured the affection of both veteran and modern Star Wars enthusiasts.

One of the most well-liked and successful “Star Wars” shows continues to hold its popularity on the streaming platform, for a variety of reasons we won’t delve into today. Some viewers might find it unusual that the show transitioned from season 4 to a full-length movie, as the series had benefited from the ability of episodes to gradually build and flesh out characters, both the noble heroes and the sinister villains.

The latest news regarding The Mandalorian & Grogu film

It’s hardly a shock that the more recent Star Wars movies haven’t shone as brightly… However, with this in mind, there was speculation among fans about whether Pascal could return to the beskar armor or if stand-ins were employed instead.

Currently, I’m afraid we don’t have the solution yet. However, there’s a possibility that Pascal could be connected to the movie, considering Lucasfilm operates a studio in London called ILM (Industrial Light & Magic) London.

The city that I noted earlier is the one where Pascal is now shooting “The Fantastic Four: First Steps”. What are your thoughts on this?

Will it be likely that Pascal wears Mandalorian armor throughout some parts of the movie, or could Moff Gideon make a reappearance in the upcoming “The Mandalorian and Grogu” film?
