As a lifelong Springsteen fan who’s seen the Boss perform live more times than I can count, this news about “Deliver Me From Nowhere” has me jumping for joy! The fact that Jeremy Allen White is stepping into Bruce’s boots is nothing short of exhilarating. I remember seeing White in “The Bear” and thinking he had the grit and the heart to pull off a performance like this.

Deliver Me From Nowhere begins production
Moreover, it’s been confirmed that filming for Deliver Me From Nowhere has begun, with Scott Cooper serving as director and writer of the screenplay. The majority of the shooting will occur in New Jersey and New York City, with additional work happening in Los Angeles. This project is an adaptation of Warren Zanes’ book, providing a glimpse into Bruce Springsteen’s emotional process of recording one of his most acclaimed albums to date.
Starting the production of this film is a truly humbling and exhilarating adventure, according to Cooper. The album “Nebraska” by Bruce Springsteen has deeply influenced my creative perspective. The album’s raw, unpolished portrayal of life’s hardships and resilience resonates with me on a personal level. Our goal is to recreate that same essence, telling the story of Warren Zanes’ compelling narrative of Bruce’s life in an authentic and hopeful manner, while respecting Bruce’s legacy and offering a transformative cinematic experience. It has been a privilege to work alongside Bruce and Jon [Landau] as we share their story, and their creative spirit fuels every step of this project. I am also looking forward to joining forces once again with my friend, David Greenbaum [president, Disney Live Action and 20th Century Studios], as he takes on his new role at Disney, adding another source of inspiration to this project.
In addition to the main cast, Paul Walter Hauser portrays Mike Batlan, the guitar technician; Odessa Young takes on the role of Faye; Stephen Graham plays Springsteen’s father; and Johnny Cannizzaro steps into the part of Stevie Van Zandt from The E Street Band. The production team includes Cooper, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Eric Robinson, and Scott Stuber, with Tracey Landon and Warren Zanes serving as executive producers.
