As a binge-watching aficionado who’s seen more shows than I care to count, I’m thrilled with this week‘s Netflix lineup! The Diplomat season 2 is just what I needed to keep me on the edge of my seat, and Allison Janney? She’s a guaranteed treat. Martha, oh Martha, I can’t wait to dive into the ups and downs of your life story. And let’s not forget Murder Mindfully, a comedy crime series that combines my two favorite genres – who knew lawyers could be so entertaining when they’re murderers too?
Here comes a fresh week, and along with it, November! I can’t believe it’s already here! But before we dive into Thanksgiving, Netflix has some exciting additions to their collection this week. They’re rolling out a brand-new season of one of their Originals, a gripping new documentary, and a humorous crime series that you might want to check out.
Initially, we have “The Diplomat” Season 2 set to debut on Netflix this coming Thursday, October 31, 2024! The new season picks up right where the last one ended, with a bomb explosion that may have affected Kate’s husband and staff. As such, viewers can expect to see how everyone is coping in the aftermath, including information about any casualties. The first few episodes are likely to focus on this recovery process. Additionally, it seems that Kate may be under consideration for the position of Vice President, whether she welcomes it or not. With Allison Janney currently holding the role of Vice President, we can anticipate some sticky situations ahead!

This week, we’ll have the chance to watch the Martha Stewart documentary on Netflix, which premieres on October 30. The documentary takes us through Martha’s journey, from her rise, fall, and subsequent resurgence. It includes interviews with people who knew her during her childhood, previously unseen footage, and even conversations with Martha herself. Given that Martha is a key figure in this story, it promises to be quite engaging!

This week, we have “Mindful Murder” airing on Thursday, Oct. 31. This series cleverly intertwines crime, humor, and drama, focusing on a lawyer striving to achieve a harmonious work-life balance. However, his attempt at a balanced life becomes complicated when he commits murder. It’s also worth mentioning that he’s a skilled mob mastermind. Yet, he’s attempting to live mindfully – an interesting twist! The show features Emily Cox and Tom Schilling in the lead roles.
