As a gaming enthusiast who’s fond of those films, let me tell you that if you jump on the Ted bandwagon, you’re in for a treat! You’ll be thrilled with some of the nods to the movies, like uncovering the genesis of “Thunder Buddies,” and while there are a few changes (like alterations in John’s parental names), they don’t take away from the overall fun. Over its seven episodes, each episode clocks in at around 40 minutes, giving you as much content as the two movies combined! Seth MacFarlane continues to shine as Ted and remains just as hilarious as ever. Max Burkholder does a commendable job as our human protagonist. Initially, he might seem a bit old for the part of a 16-year-old, but after giving it some time, you’ll find that he’s not the most egregious case of an adult playing a high schooler.
Similar to numerous home versions of streaming series, the Ted Season 1 Blu-ray doesn’t include any extra features, which can be underwhelming. However, it’s worth noting that this two-disc set boasts more attractive packaging than many other basic releases. Each disc showcases artwork instead of just the movie title, which is a trend I find regrettable. The first disc contains the first four episodes, while the second holds the remaining three. Inside the Blu-ray case, you’ll find details about what each disc offers, as well as synopses for each episode, making it straightforward to revisit a particular storyline in the future if desired.

Despite its basic features, the first season of Ted on Blu-ray is a solid choice due to the hilarious Peacock series that remains entertaining even on repeat viewings.
