As a gamer who has spent countless hours scrolling through social media platforms, I can confidently say that Gibi ASMR’s Shrek recreation is nothing short of extraordinary! Being in the gaming world, I’ve seen some impressive feats, but this one takes the cake (or should I say, the ogre-sized onion?)
ASMR is a popular form of content found across various video and audio-focused social media sites. You might encounter it as a TikTok video with an ASMR clip tucked beneath for that amusing brain tingle sensation, or perhaps in longer videos on platforms like YouTube.
It’s generally understood what kind of content ASMR on YouTube typically involves… or is it? That notion was challenged by popular YouTuber Gibi ASMR who took things a step further. She created a full-length, scene-by-scene reenactment of the Shrek movie!
Who is Gibi ASMR?
Gibi ASMR, commonly referred to as Gina, is a 29-year-old YouTube personality specializing in ASMR content. She’s amassed more than 5 million subscribers on her channel throughout the years.
Her channel offers a variety of content, including amusing ASMR roleplays, humorous skits, and creative cosplays. She ensures top-quality entertainment for her audience whether they’re drifting off to sleep or seeking relaxation.
She’s been consistently producing content on YouTube since June 2016, which means she’s been at it for eight whole years now. Over this period, she has successfully built a substantial fanbase, many of whom are devoted to her and appreciate nearly every video she shares.
Gibi ASMR’s Shrek recreation
Gibi and her crew meticulously worked on perfecting this project for several months. This included scripting for ASMR, designing costumes, conducting auditions, constructing props, as well as shooting and editing everything from start to finish, which was quite an extensive task.
And they even got fellow ASMR YouTuber Batala’s ASMR on the cast to play the role of Donkey.
Throughout the entire summer of 2024, every shot and line was filmed meticulously, leading straight into the editing phase. With Gibi well along in her pregnancy by then, there was a pressing need to complete the work quickly.
In her video titled “What’s in my Hospital Bag?” she wrote into the description:
“I’m like… bruh NO, PLEASE STAY IN THERE LITTLE BUDDY, WE’RE NOT DONE WITH SHREK YET… KEEP COOKING…”
Fortunately, it seems that they succeeded in publishing their detailed remake of the Shrek film yesterday. It’s time for them to relax and take a well-deserved break.
