When is The Apothecary Diaries Season 2 release date?

The second season of “The Apothecary Diaries” is set to premiere on January 10, 2025. Similar to its first part, you’ll be able to stream this new season on Crunchyroll. We’ve just announced the release date, which follows seven months since the conclusion of Season 1, consisting of 24 episodes. As of now, we haven’t revealed whether Season 2 will also have 24 episodes or fewer.

In this summary (from Crunchyroll), “Maomao, who lived peacefully with her apothecary father, was unexpectedly sold into servitude at the emperor’s palace.” Instead of accepting her submissive role in the palace, she seizes the opportunity when the imperial heirs fall sick and endeavors to find a cure. This act catches the attention of Jinshi, a charming palace official who supports her advancement. Now, she is gaining recognition as she solves complex medical puzzles!

This animated series is orchestrated by directors Norihiko Naganuma and Akinori Fudesaka, with Naganuma also providing the music. The main voice actors are Aoi Yûki/ Emi Lo as Maomao, Takeo Otsuka/ Kaiji Tang as Jinshi, Katsuyuki Konishi as Gaoshun, Atsumi Tanezaki as Gyokuyô, Hiroshi Yanaka as Luomen, Takuya Kirimoto as Lakan, and others. It is a collaborative effort between the Toho Animation studio and OLM.
