In the seventh installment of Vox Machina, named “Cloak and Dagger”, Percy meets a tragic end. He’s fatally wounded by his adversary, Anna Ripley, and despite his team locating him, it’s too late. This incident leaves a profound impact on the group, causing ripples of shock to reverberate throughout them.
Despite Percy appearing to have met his end, fans of Vox Machina refuse to let go of hope for him. The series is adapted from the renowned Critical Role campaign, where Percy was revived after a previous death in Episode 69. In this original series, Percy’s comrades employed magic to disentangle him from Orthax, the demonic influence, and brought him back to life at Pike’s temple. This narrative arc has led fans to speculate that if Percy did indeed perish in Vox Machina Season 3, it might not be a permanent goodbye.
During the Critical Role series, the storyline fosters a sense of hope.
