As a die-hard Ted Lasso fan with seasons worth of emotions invested, the news about Season 4 is like finding a perfectly cross-stitched “Carol of the Bells” sweater under my Christmas tree on Christmas Eve – absolutely thrilling and unexpectedly timed! The anticipation has been brewing since the season three finale in May 2023, and now it seems the stars are aligning for another round of Lasso magic.
The latest update for Season 4 of “Ted Lasso” is out, as revealed by Channing Dungey, CEO of Warner Bros. TV, who shared that discussions about the upcoming season have taken place between him and the show’s lead actor, Jason Sudeikis.
What is the Ted Lasso Season 4 update?
In a recent conversation with Variety, Dungey hinted at the progress of the upcoming season, which was first mentioned two months ago. Although he didn’t explicitly confirm any details, he did reveal that negotiations for a fourth season are taking place and Sudeikis seems very enthusiastic about it.
Dungey mentioned that we’re having some intriguing discussions regarding season four, but we’re still at the initial stages.
It was consistently made clear that there wouldn’t be any more “Ted Lasso” unless Jason [Sudeikis] and the team were enthusiastic about it, and I can personally confirm that he is currently very excited and comfortable with the project.
Excitedly speaking as a die-hard fan here, I can’t help but share my anticipation for Season 4 of Ted Lasso! It’s been buzzing around that Jason Sudeikis, Brendan Hunt, and Juno Temple will be rejoining the team. Rumors also circulated in August about Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, and Jeremy Swift having their options picked up, but an official cast announcement is yet to be made. Fingers crossed that this talented bunch will continue to charm us with their performances!
