As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I’ve seen it all – from patches that break games to updates that make them shine brighter than ever. The recent update for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has been a bit of a rollercoaster ride. On one hand, the new Lethality difficulty and boss changes have added an extra layer of challenge, which I usually welcome. But on the other, it seems to have disrupted some well-established team compositions and strategies, leaving a sour taste in the community’s mouth.
Ever since its debut roughly a month back, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has been triumphant for Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment. Regrettably, a challenging latest update has sparked calls for prompt modifications among the player community. The new difficulty level contradicts certain team formations and some boss tactics have been significantly weakened. However, Saber has expressed remorse and promised that a balance patch aimed at rectifying the situation is imminent.
On Focus Entertainment’s social media platforms, both Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment acknowledged and addressed the problems encountered with the latest update of Warhammer: Space Marine 2. They assured players that they are working diligently to rectify these issues promptly.
Hi everyone, Space Marine 2 players!
We’ve carefully reviewed the feedback on our recent patch and are busy preparing another one with balance adjustments. It’s scheduled to drop next week.
Once again, thank you for your continued support.
For the Emperor! ⚔️

Last week, I dived back into Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 with its 4.0 update, expecting a thrilling gaming session. But the new twist in the Lethality difficulty for PvE mode Operations has left me scratching my head. If we don’t stick together closely, our armor regeneration takes a massive hit. However, this seems counterintuitive for a team that includes classes like a Sniper and Vanguard. I can’t help but worry that Space Marine 2 might be heading in the direction of Helldivers 2, with updates that make PvE less enjoyable.
Next week, Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 might be making adjustments to its current direction. Keep an eye out for changes in their upcoming balance update. We’ll keep you informed about any developments related to Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 right here on Shacknews.
