Currently, Kichcha Sudeep is experiencing a difficult phase of life following the passing away of his mother, Saroja Sanjeev, on October 20, 2024. In just a short while, social media has been flooded with photos and videos showcasing the actor, visibly distraught as he mourns near his mother’s casket. Recently, through a heartfelt message on social media, Sudeep expressed his feelings and reminisced about the unfortunate events that unfolded for him over the past day.
On the platform that was once known as Twitter, Kichcha posted a heartfelt tribute on behalf of his mother, someone he held dear, admired and honored. The actor recounted how his life had taken a turn for the worse starting from Saturday, a day when he was deeply engrossed in filming Bigg Boss Kannada.
He revealed getting the last message from his mother on his phone and said, “Every morning, the 1st buzz on my phone would be here text, aound 5.30am Wishing me, “Good morning kanda,,,,” . I received her last txt on Friday, 18th October. I didn’t see her text the next day when i woke up while at BB. 1st time in so many years. I did send her my morning txt and wanted to cal and enquire if everything was OK. Discussions of BB’s Saturday episode took away all time, and just before I went onto the stage, i got a cal saying she was hospitalized. I immediately called my sister who was at th hospital, spoke to th doctors and went on to the stage. A little later, when i was on stage, a message was passed on to my people that she was critical.”

Moving on, the actor shared the challenge he faced balancing his BB Kannada shoot obligations with his work commitments, all while being aware of his mother’s serious illness at home where he yearned to be. Kichcha expressed his regret for missing out on the opportunity to see his mother one last time before she passed away.
He wrote, “I hurried to the hospital immediately following the Saturday episode shoot. Just moments before I arrived, my mother was connected to a ventilator. Sadly, I wasn’t able to see her conscious. She fought valiantly before she passed away on Sunday morning. In just a few hours, nearly everything in my life shifted drastically.
Recently, Kichcha Sudeep’s daughter Sanvi shared an emotional post on Instagram expressing her distress and sorrow about the way people acted during her grandmother Saroja’s funeral. She specifically mentioned the large crowd that gathered outside their home at such a sensitive time, intrusively trying to push in cameras towards her father and herself when all they desired was a peaceful moment of mourning.
Sanvi shared, “Today was incredibly tough for my family, yet the ordeal of having people gather outside my home, shouting, and shoving cameras in my face while I was trying to mourn, felt even more unbearable. I’m struggling to comprehend how much crueler someone could act.
For those not aware, Kichcha Sudeep’s beloved mother has tragically passed away due to aging complications. A touching farewell ceremony was held for her at the Wilson Garden Crematorium in Bangalore.
