As a bona fide Netflix enthusiast with over a decade of streaming under my belt, I can confidently say that this week’s lineup has certainly piqued my interest! The drama series “Territory” seems like a modern-day Australian “Yellowstone,” and as someone who enjoys a good cattle station feud, I’m all in.
Hey there, fellow gaming enthusiast! Here comes another thrilling week, bringing fresh movies and shows to my Netflix queue. This time around, I’ve got a brand-spanking-new adventure drama series, a bone-chilling horror flick, and an eye-opening documentary waiting for me. Although the selection isn’t as vast this week, there’s a good chance I’ll stumble upon something that piques my curiosity!
Kicking off this week is the series titled “Territory“. Starting on Netflix on October 24, 2024, it features Anna Torv, Jay Ryan, Robert Taylor, and Sara Wiseman in lead roles. The story revolves around a cattle station owned by the Lawson family, whose heir is absent. With no clear direction, various Australian groups engage in conflict to determine who will claim the land and potentially bring an end to the Lawson dynasty. This seems reminiscent of “Yellowstone” but set in Australia.

Beginning this week, you’ll have the chance to stream Netflix’s newest horror flick, “Don’t Move.” Set your alarm for Friday, Oct. 25, as it will be available then. The movie features Kelsey Asbille, Finn Wittrock, and Daniel Francis in the main roles. The plot revolves around a young woman who is given a paralyzing drug by a murderer. Over the course of 20 minutes, she must navigate running, fighting, and hiding to survive, which certainly sounds terrifying!

This week, we have “The Extraordinary Journey of Ibelin” on the schedule. This documentary recounts the tale of Mats Steen, a young Norwegian man who battled a progressive muscular condition. His parents once believed his life was solitary until they began receiving messages from friends he connected with worldwide through the internet. By incorporating animation, Mats’ virtual character in World of Warcraft, Ibelin, shares his experiences and the profound impact he had on countless individuals.
