1. Actor Bala controversy
Surprisingly, on the early morning of October 14, actor Bala, recognized for his contributions to South Indian films, was taken into custody. This arrest led Amritha Suressh, his former wife, to file a report claiming that he had tarnished her reputation and their daughter’s as well. In this complaint, she detailed instances where Bala reportedly harassed their daughter Avantika and even stalked her on certain occasions.
Nevertheless, actor Bala was freed on bail with conditions by a district court shortly after his apprehension. According to an article in Manorama, the judge prohibited him from posting any remarks about his former spouse or their child on social media. Simultaneously, the actor uploaded a video to his Facebook page asserting that intruders had attempted to break into his residence on October 19th.
2. Kunchacko Boban and Fahadh Faasil starrer Bouganvillea Release
On October 17, the film titled “Bouganvillea,” starring Kunchacko Boban, Fahadh Faasil, and Jyotirmayi, made its way to movie theaters. This Malayalam production, classified as a psychological thriller, has been receiving a mix of opinions from both film critics and viewers thus far.

The movie, “Bougainvillea,” masterfully directed by Amal Neerad, has caught my attention. This film primarily focuses on the lives of Royce and Reethu, portrayed by Kunchacko and Jyothirmai, who experience a dramatic transformation following an accident. Intriguingly, Fahadh Faasil brings ACP David Koshy to life, a character investigating the enigmatic disappearances of tourists in Kerala.
3. Darshan Thoogudeepa case
Actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, who stands accused of murdering his supposed fan Renukaswamy and was previously denied bail by a Bengaluru court, has now appealed to the Karnataka High Court. In accordance with a report in Times Now, the new bail application submitted to the high court contains an urgent request for a hearing.
Furthermore, Pavithra Gowda, who is rumored to be the partner of the Kannada actor, has submitted a bail request to the court as well. 5. Suriya joins hands with RJ Balaji for Suriya 45
Before the debut of Suriya’s next movie titled Kanguva, news about his collaboration with RJ Balaji for Suriya 45 has sparked excitement on social media. Sharing the official announcement poster, Suriya expressed his eagerness with the caption, “I’m thrilled!” Simultaneously, RJ Balaji also shared the same poster, assuring everyone that they are working hard to deliver an EPIC entertainment experience.

6. Oviya’s police complaint after her alleged morphed video leaked
In response to the leak of an alleged private video featuring Bigg Boss Tamil star Oviya, her manager has reportedly reported the incident to the Chennai police commissioner. The manager confirmed that the video appears to be doctored with the intention of damaging Oviya’s reputation. He stated that Oviya will take appropriate legal action against the person responsible and considered the matter a sensitive one, choosing not to disclose further details about the suspect.
