The GOAT's director Venkat Prabhu reveals getting call from Rajinikanth to praise Thalapathy Vijay's film: 'Thank you Thalaivaaa'

As a passionate fan who has witnessed the magical journey of Thalapathy Vijay, I am absolutely thrilled to see the camaraderie between two titans of Tamil cinema – Vijay and Rajinikanth. The GOAT, a film that has already etched its place in our hearts, was further validated by the legendary Rajinikanth’s heartfelt appreciation for director Venkat Prabhu. It’s moments like these that remind us of the profound impact our beloved stars can have on each other.

In simple terms, Thalapathy Vijay’s recent project with filmmaker Venkat Prabhu, titled “The Greatest Of All Time” (GOAT), was a massive box office success upon release. Audiences adored the blend of action and science fiction, and applauded Vijay for his outstanding performance. Interestingly, even legendary actor Rajinikanth enjoyed GOAT and reached out to director Venkat Prabhu after watching it.

The well-known director posted a heartfelt thanks on his official account (previously Twitter) to Rajinikanth. Venkat Prabhu wrote: “Thank you, dear leader!! for your call and for showing such warmth towards our #GOAT. Once again, thank you for your wholehearted appreciation. I’ll always be grateful, sending all my love.” Here’s his post below!

The kind-hearted act by superstar Rajinikanth has touched countless hearts on social media, showcasing that he is skilled at nurturing upcoming talent in the movie industry and expressing affection for their remarkable achievements.

For those not familiar with the term, “The GOAT” refers to a spy thriller film directed by Venkat Prabhu. The movie stars Thalapathy Vijay in two distinct roles, alongside Prashanth, Prabhudheva, Mohan, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Sneha, Laila, and Ajmal Ameer in significant parts.

Forthcoming, Thalapathy Vijay is expected to appear in a movie provisionally titled Thalapathy 69. This production is directed by H Vinoth and includes Bobby Deol and Pooja Hegde in significant roles. As per Laxmi Kanth’s report, the actor will portray an ex-police officer in the film.

Despite the excitement swirling around, I must admit that I haven’t received any official confirmation from the makers about it. Yet, with the cameras rolling on Thalapathy 69 as of late, there’s a palpable buzz in the air – this could potentially be the actor’s final hurrah, if rumors are true.
