As a dedicated follower of Malayalam cinema and Bala’s work, I must say that this recent turn of events has left me quite perplexed. Having been a fan of his acting skills for years, it is disheartening to see him embroiled in such a controversial situation.
More recently, Malayalam actor Bala made news after being taken into custody on October 14, following a complaint filed by his ex-wife, who alleged that he had tarnished her reputation and their daughter’s on social media. However, the court later granted him conditional bail shortly after his arrest. In a recent turn of events, Bala has posted a video on Facebook, discussing the incident in detail. Known for his roles in Tamil and Malayalam films, he also shared CCTV footage and explained an attempt by some individuals to break into his home.

Accompanying the video, he penned down, “This situation is a trap. It’s the first time in my life I’ve encountered all these issues, yet I remain committed to my promise.” As reported by News18 Malayalam, the actor posted the CCTV footage from October 19 mornings. In this video, he asserted that the footage was taken at 4 a.m., and it showed a man and a woman with a child attempting to break into his residence.
Beyond this, Bala discusses the incident as an effort to ensnare him, marking the first instance in his life where he encountered such a situation. Additionally, he asserted that besides the individuals caught on CCTV cameras, there were other individuals lurking outside his residence during the same time period.
More simply put, Recently, Bala was apprehended following allegations made by his ex-wife Amritha. She claimed that he had maligned her and their daughter on social media. In addition, she said that after their divorce, he stalked her and harassed their daughter. Consequently, the police detained Bala at his residence for further questioning.
Furthermore, Amritha Suresh stated that she and her daughter Avantika regularly encountered ‘persistent dangers’ from her former spouse. At a certain point, the situation became too difficult as it negatively impacted their daughter. Additionally, she asserted that Bala had no desire to meet their child.
In my case, although I was given bail, I was instructed by the court to abstain from making any negative remarks about my ex-wife, Amritha Suressh, or our child on social media platforms.
