WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers – The next big Soulslike from China

As someone who has spent countless hours navigating the treacherous realms of Dark Souls and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, I can confidently say that WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers has piqued my interest. The trailer unveiled at the Xbox Partner Preview event showcased an action-packed world brimming with adversity and intrigue, reminiscent of the challenges I’ve faced in my gaming past.

In this fresh Soulslike game hailing from China, we embark on an adventure assuming the persona of Wuchang, a seasoned pirate fighter grappling with amnesia. Our protagonist bears little resemblance to the monkey character in Black Myth: Wukong, yet the similarities are striking. Will it become as successful and captivating as its counterpart?

The next big gaming hit from China?

In 2025, the action-adventure game “Fallen Feathers” is set to debut on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms. It will be accessible from day one via Game Pass subscription service. The narrative unfolds in the troubled land of Shu during the late Ming Dynasty’s dark era. Amidst the strife between warring factions and the emergence of monstrous beings birthed by a mysterious illness, players will embark on an epic journey.

At the Xbox Partner Preview event, they unveiled a trailer that hints at something exciting: unlike Wukong, we’ll have the freedom to wield a diverse arsenal of weapons in this game. I can hardly contain my excitement as I watch our heroine battling enemies with not just one-handed swords, but also a staff transformed into an automatic rifle, and even a fearsome flamethrower!

The game appears to be a quicker title in the Souls-like genre, similar to Wukong, encouraging aggressive gameplay. However, we currently have limited information about it.

How do you find the game Wuchang: Fallen Feathers initially? Does it pique your interest as a fan of the Souls-like genre, making you eager to explore more?
