During a presentation at the Empire Stage on October 17, Chris Pratt praised The Electric State script as unique and daring, just a few hours following the release of a sneak peek trailer for the upcoming Netflix production.

According to Pratt, he had already intended to take some time off from work when he came across the script for this unique project and decided to join it. As he put it, “This isn’t usually the kind of film that becomes a blockbuster-style movie like this. It’s so original, it’s a big risk.” Pratt continued by expressing that he felt these types of movies might be his final chance to star in a major production like this. He added, “I had to seize every opportunity like that. I did. The story is just so compelling. It moved me to tears reading it,” shared the actor from Jurassic World Dominion. Joe Russo referred to the film as a deeply personal and heartfelt endeavor. He further expressed that they are incredibly eager to share this project with viewers. The movie carries an immense scope, and they take great pleasure in crafting grand narratives.

Apart from Pratt, The Electric State features Millie Bobby Brown, Ke Huy Quan, Stanley Tucci, and Giancarlo Esposito in its star-studded lineup. Notably, the film boasts an impressive voice cast that includes Brian Cox, Anthony Mackie, Billy Bob Thornton, and Woody Harrelson.

In a world blending the past and future, this film follows the tale of a character called Michelle (played by Brown). She teams up with a wanderer named Keats (portrayed by Pratt) and a robot, embarking on an incredible quest to find her missing sibling.

The Electric State is set to be released on Netflix on March 14, 2025.
