Suriya 45 Buzz: Did RJ Balaji change his script for Suriya after initially writing it for Trisha Krishnan?

As a die-hard fan of Tamil cinema with over two decades of following this captivating industry, I can confidently say that the collaboration between Suriya and RJ Balaji is nothing short of a dream come true! The news of Suriya 45, a divine fantasy movie, has sent ripples of excitement through the film fraternity.

In preparation for the premiere of his upcoming film “Kanguva”, actor Suriya has disclosed that his next project will be helmed by director RJ Balaji. According to media outlet Valai Pechu, the working title for this new production is tentatively called “Suriya 45”. It’s speculated that this film might delve into the realm of divine fantasy.

The upcoming film is said to be adapted from the script of Maasaani Amman, a movie previously speculated to feature Trisha Krishnan as the main character. Additionally, it’s been hinted that this movie could follow a similar vein as Mookuthi Amman, another film directed by RJ Balaji, which starred Nayanthara.

Instead, the plot is now being adjusted to feature a male protagonist, similar to the roles taken on by actor Suriya. Additionally, new elements have been added to the storyline. However, it’s important to note that these changes have only been suggested in recent reports and have not been officially confirmed by the filmmakers yet.

A few days ago, news broke that RJ Balaji and Suriya will be collaborating on a film, accompanied by the reveal of an intriguing poster. The poster showcases an assortment of long sickles bearing tilaks, with a solitary Vel (spear) positioned centrally. This visual suggests that the movie may involve elements of divine or spiritual themes.

In a similar vein, RJ Balaji had earlier produced the film Mookuthi Amman starring Nayanthara. The 2020 movie narrates the tale of a journalist who encounters his ancestral deity, Mookuthi Amman. She aids him in his personal life and employs him to unmask fraudulent religious leaders.

In the future, actor Suriya is poised to take on the lead part in the movie titled Kanguva, helmed by director Siva. This forthcoming blend of fantasy and action showcases Suriya in a unique dual role due to its narrative unfolding across two distinct periods. Joining Suriya in this venture are actors Bobby Deol and Disha Patani, both making their debuts in Tamil cinema.

The upcoming movie, scheduled for a theater release on November 14, 2024, boasts a talented lineup of supporting actors such as Jagapathi Babu, Natarajan Subramaniam, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, and others in crucial roles.
