On October 17, 2024, Nintendo of America shared via their social media platforms that the classic game, Banjo-Tooie, would become accessible through the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack starting October 25, 2024.

The newest game, Banjo-Tooie, has been added to the growing library of Nintendo 64 games available through the Expansion Pass add-on for Nintendo Switch Online. With this addition, the entire Banjo-Kazooie collection from the Nintendo 64 era is now complete. The only other console title was Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, which was praised by critics but didn’t quite reach the same heights as the first two games in the series.
Since June 2024, Nintendo has not added another N64 game to their service until now, with Perfect Dark and Turok: Dinosaur Hunter being the last ones. Here’s hoping they continue to deliver more classics from this golden age of gaming for us to enjoy on contemporary platforms.
